In addition to the core curriculum, the fellowship program offers a wide range of didactic educational activities.
- Tumor Boards: Weekly multidisciplinary conferences with medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, pathology, and radiology feature presentations on new patients seen in disease-specific clinics with discussions regarding patient care.
- Pathology Conference: Fellows and faculty meet twice weekly for interesting case review at the departmental multiheaded microscope.
- Noon Conference: Featuring lectures and presentations by invited speakers, basic science faculty, and clinical faculty from a variety of disciplines.
- Journal Club: Fellows and faculty gather monthly for literature review and discussion.
Research Opportunities
Interested fellows are encourage but not required to undertake basic science, translational, or clinico-pathologic research while at the Cancer Center. Presenting their findings at national (USCAP, ASCP, CAP, ASCO, AACR) meetings is supported.
