While I had childhood dreams of becoming a marine biologist, veterinarian, or something along the lines of working with animals in the great outdoors, I found that my curiosity about how people think, feel, and relate to each other and the world eventually outweighed my interest in solely studying animals.
From a young age, I realized that I had a deep love for all-things-science. Although my interests have focused over the years, my love for the scientific method continues to grow with each step of my career.
I considered a future career in microbiology or genetics and made plans to devote myself to studying science. When I was twenty-five years old, my beloved grandfather fell ill with cerebrovascular disease. I thereafter changed my future career plan to devote myself to studying new and more effective ways to treat disease.
Beyond the Canvas grew out of an outreach effort. The CentennialX Student Design program, at William Tennent High School in Warminster, helped guide the students through their artistic journey with help from the Doylestown Art Studio.
I met a biology professor who convinced me that the same principles that attracted me to the law could be used to investigate the fundamentals of biological processes. This experience inspired me to enroll in a molecular biology program.
