As a psychiatrist who works with medically ill individuals, I understand that there is a complex relationship between mental and physical health. Special challenges arise in those affected by cancer, from diagnosis to treatment, and even into recovery and survivorship. I believe in collaborating with patients to make treatment decisions in their best interest, and using an individualized approach to address their unique needs. I also work in a multidisciplinary fashion to provide comprehensive care to the patient, and incorporate evidence-based medicine for medication management and therapy. My goal is to provide patients and their caregivers with the tools to face their disease and in turn, improve their quality of life.
