Fox Chase Will Host Online Event on Cancer and COVID-19

PHILADELPHIA (Jun 1, 2020) – Fox Chase Cancer Center will host an online patient education event, “Together Facing Cancer and COVID-19,” at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 4. Fox Chase understands that patients and caregivers have concerns and questions as they navigate their cancer journey in these challenging times, and the event will address many of those issues. Our panel of experts is here to help.

Fox Chase physicians, scientists, and staff will provide guidance on a variety of topics related to cancer during the pandemic, including prevention and early detection, treatment and caregiving, and survivorship care for patients who have already undergone treatment.

The panelists will also discuss measures the center is taking to keep patients and providers safe, and what the future of cancer care may look like. A patient will also share her personal story of being treated for cancer at Fox Chase during the pandemic.
