Fox Chase Cancer Center Ranked 21st Among the Nation’s Top 50 Hospitals for Cancer Care by U.S. News & World Report

PHILADELPHIA (July 21, 2015)—Fox Chase Cancer Center has been ranked 21st among the nation’s top 50 hospitals for cancer care in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals 2015-2016 rankings. Fox Chase was also cited as high performing in the areas of urology; gynecology; and ear, nose, and throat.

“Our remarkable standing in this year’s U.S. News & World Report national ranking reflects not only the hard work and mission-driven mindset of everyone who works at Fox Chase, but illustrates the great strides our Center is making in cancer science and medicine,” said Richard I. Fisher, MD, President and CEO of Fox Chase Cancer Center.

For 2015-16, U.S. News evaluated hospitals in 16 adult specialties and ranked the top 50 in most of the specialties. Less than 3 percent of the nearly 5,000 hospitals that were analyzed for Best Hospitals 2015-16 were nationally ranked in even one specialty.

The rankings are freely available at http://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals and will appear in the U.S. News “Best Hospitals 2016” guidebook, available in bookstores and on newsstands in August.
