PHILADELPHIA, PA (August 19, 2014)—Mark A. Hallman, MD, PhD, has joined Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Department of Radiation Oncology. He completed his residency in radiation oncology this June at Fox Chase, having served as chief resident.
Dr. Hallman’s primary area of focus is the treatment of patients with thoracic, hematologic, and genitourinary malignancies. He has extensive training in several specialized radiation techniques, including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), and prostate brachytherapy.
“While knowledge and expertise are important, I believe that compassion and personalized care are also essential to being an effective physician,” said Dr. Hallman. “I strive to establish trust and understanding with my patients in order to best help them complete complex and intense cancer therapies in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.”
Dr. Hallman received his medical degree as well as a doctorate in cell and molecular pharmacology and experimental therapeutics from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
