Fox Chase Cancer Center Teams Up with Former NFL Player Chris Draft to Host FREE Community Lung Cancer Event

PHILADELPHIA (November 13, 2013)—Fox Chase Cancer Center is teaming up with Chris Draft, former NFL player and Founder, President and CEO of the Chris Draft Family Foundation, to host “Together Facing Lung Cancer”—a FREE educational event for the community. The event will take place on Saturday, November 16 from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. in the main corridor of the Robert C. Young Pavilion on the Fox Chase Cancer Center campus in northeast Philadelphia (333 Cottman Avenue).

The educational event will give attendees a chance to mingle with oncology experts while learning more about lung cancer, helping raise awareness of the disease, honoring survivors and remembering loved ones. Attendees will also hear from guest speaker, Chris Draft, who founded a non-profit organization in memory of his wife Keasha that is dedicated to empowering families to live healthy lifestyles.

Light refreshments will be served and those attending will receive a free gift. Free parking is available in the East Garage, which connects to the Young Pavilion.
