PHILADELPHIA (December 14, 2010) – Daniel K. Holleran, MD, Attending Physician, Hospitalist Service, Internal Medicine, has joined Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Department of Medicine as an attending physician for the hospitalist program.
“I came to Fox Chase to be part of the comprehensive treatment plan,” says Holleran, who has a special interest in medical oncology. “I enjoy hospital medicine and feel I will add to the total care of the patient.”
His role at Fox Chase will involve coordinating care with medical, surgical and radiation oncologists, as well as handling any other medical issues that may arise for patients.
“I have over 19 years of experience in primary care, hospitalist and consultative medicine,” says Holleran, who comes to Fox Chase from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, where he served as a clinical assistant professor of medicine.
Holleran earned his MD from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. Prior to his medical studies, Holleran pursued an MS in chemistry and worked as a research chemist in drug and vaccine formation.
Holleran is certified in internal medicine by the National Board of Medical Examiners and is a member of the American College of Physicians.
