Treatment Philosophy

I am excited to be joining the faculty of Fox Chase Cancer Center, after spending 16 years in community practice in the Philadelphia area. My interest in Medical Oncology began during medical school and residency when I had the opportunity to spend time at Fox Chase Cancer Center. I was taught by Medical Oncologists who were leaders in their fields, and understood the importance of clinical research to move our field forward. In addition, I was part of the medical team who cared for patients who were admitted to the hospital. These experiences served as the impetus to pursue a career as a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist and am thrilled to be coming back to “where I started”.

Growing up in the Philadelphia area, it has been important for me to provide top-notch care to members of our community.. I am eager to help expand the reach of Fox Chase Cancer Center, so that more patients can have access to care from a multidisciplinary. team as well as clinical trials close to their homes. My approach to patient care has always been listening to patients concerns and providing medical information in terms that patients can understand. I care for patients and their loved ones as if they were a member of my family.
