Treatment Philosophy
As part of the thoracic team, I specialize in diseases and abnormalities of the lungs. While many patients are referred to Fox Chase for cancer care, frequently we see patients that have abnormal lung findings detected by CT or other imaging. Most frequently, these abnormalities are lung nodules, which our team works up through further imaging and possibly a procedure to take a biopsy for accurate diagnosis. As the Lung Nodule Coordinator, my role is to help guide all patients with lung abnormalities through a seamless process of work up, whether seen by our pulmonary, thoracic surgery, medical oncology or radiation oncology teams. My focus is that the diagnosis is established in a timely manner so appropriate treatment can be initiated as fast as possible.
