This presentation will discuss the importance of maintaining good nutrition status throughout cancer treatment as well as strategies to adjust diet to help improve appetite/intake, diet tolerance, as well as eating difficulties that may often arise from side effects during systemic, radiation, or surgical treatment for cancer.

Jacquelyn Morrissey, MA, RD, CSO LDN 

Oncology Nutrition Care Coordinator 

Jacquelyn is an outpatient oncology dietitian that works directly with patients throughout their cancer journey here at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She provides individualized nutrition counseling for patients newly diagnosed with cancer, currently undergoing cancer treatment, during active surveillance following cancer treatment, as well as throughout survivorship. Since joining the nutrition team at FCCC in early 2022, Jacquelyn has had a particular interest in counseling patients to manage their nutrition status during chemotherapy/radiation treatment, but also in optimizing health and promoting general healthy eating as part of their lifestyle after cancer treatment. Jacquelyn completed her dietetic internship and earned a Master of Arts in Nutrition Education from Immaculata University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from La Salle University. She is a certified registered dietitian-nutritionist through the CDR, licensed as a dietitian-nutritionist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and is a board-certified specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO).
