This is a cost-free program

Students may only participate in 1 of the 2 weeks offered). Students are chosen on the basis of their ability to benefit from and contribute cooperatively to the program. Applications completed and submitted by the deadline date will be reviewed in an NIH (National Institute of Health) study-section manner by graduates and instructors of Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Immersion Science Program.

A $25.00 refundable registration fee will be submitted with your application. This fee will hold your seat, if selected, and be returned upon satisfactory completion of the program. Applications not selected, will have the fee returned directly. No-shows for either program, without contact, will result in forfeit of the registration fee.

Open to ALL rising
8th, 9th, and 10th graders, ages 13– 15

This is a cost-free program

These two 1-week, hands-on camps seek students who are rising 8th, 9th, and 10th graders (ages 13 to 15) and are interested in the field of scientific research, particularly cancer research. To maintain a low student:teacher ratio, each session will host 16 students.

Morning and Afternoon activities will include: mini lecture series, guest speakers from Fox Chase Cancer Center, laboratory skills, experiment design, set-up and analysis, and creating a poster to present to guests and faculty on Friday at our mini-poster session.
