8:30 am to 12:15 pmFox Chase Cancer Center is honored to have been selected by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to host the official Cancer Moonshot Summit for Region 3 (including Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington DC) on Wednesday, June 29, 2016.
The day’s events were hosted by Wafik El-Deiry, MD, PhD, FACP, former Deputy Cancer Center Director, Translational Research Program; Co-Leader, Molecular Therapeutics Program; and William Wikoff Smith Endowed Chair in Cancer Research, Fox Chase Cancer Center.
The program also featured a live-streamed address from Vice-President Biden from the Moonshot Summit location at Howard University.
Additionally, three expert panels representing cancer centers and industry nationwide lead discussions on Research: The Foundation of Progress; Data Sharing in Precision Oncology; and Clinical Trials and Patient Advocacy.
