Nurses Attend Annual Conference in San Antonio

Fox Chase Cancer Center was well represented at the recent Oncology Nursing Society’s 41st Annual Congress in San Antonio, Texas.
Led by Anne Jadwin, RN, MSN, AOCN, NE-BC, Vice President of Nursing Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Fox Chase, 20 members of the nursing staff made the trip and eight presented at the four-day conference.
Posters were presented by Jadwin, along with Susan Cobb, RN, MSN, PhD, Director of Nursing Professional Development and Practice Innovation, and registered nurses Amanda Cancelliere (Pirollo), George Doran, Linda Schiech, Jennie Gilliland, Tara Del Grippo and Christine Veal.
"Attending this conference was a wonderful opportunity for our nursing staff to learn more as we seek to deliver the best possible care to our patients at Fox Chase," says Jadwin. "I’m thrilled that so many members of the nursing staff were able to attend."
Additionally, Elizabeth Plimack, MD, Director of Genitourinary Clinical Research and an associate professor in the department of hematology/oncology and Susan Roethke, CRNP, an advanced practice clinician, conducted a satellite presentation.
The Oncology Nursing Society is a professional association of more than 39,000 members. The group meets annually in different cities across the U.S., with 3,500 people attending to view more than 200 exhibitors and attend more than 100 sessions.
