As a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, I have experience in consultation-liaison psychiatry, a subspecialty in psychiatry combining general medical conditions and psychiatric diagnoses.  As a result of this training, my treatment philosophy focuses on treating the whole person.  Human beings are complex and being able to look at situations from multiple perspectives as well as including individuals and family members affected is imperative to improving our health.  Utilizing evidence-based practices and interventions including medication management and psychotherapy, helping patients and caregivers learn skills and gain insights to cope with their diagnosis and aid in their cancer journey is my primary goal.
