PHILADELPHIA (May 11, 2023)—Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Jeffrey Farma, MD, FACS, chief of the Division of General Surgery, was recently awarded the 40th Michael E. DeBakey International Military Surgeon’s Award at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

PHILADELPHIA (May 10, 2023)—Fox Chase Cancer Center has begun offering cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT)-based adaptive radiation therapy, a technique that allows a patient’s radiation treatment to be adjusted in real time to accommodate changes in the body such as tumor shrinkage and/or the position of the adjacent normal organs.

PHILADELPHIA (May 2, 2023)—Jay Simhan, MD, FACS, Vice Chair of the Department of Urology and Director of Reconstruction and Prosthetics at Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple Health, presented two studies related to the surgical treatment of erectile dysfunction at this year’s American Urological Association Meeting (AUA) 2023 Annual Meeting.

PHILADELPHIA (April 28, 2023)—Matthew Lee, MD, MBA, a resident in the Department of Urology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, will discuss his use of a new robotic laparoscopic procedure to treat a complication caused by cancer radiation therapy at this year’s American Urological Association (AUA) 2023 Annual Meeting.
