PHILADELPHIA (April 9, 2018) — On Mother’s Day, many members of the Fox Chase Cancer Center community will come together to participate in Susan G. Komen Philadelphia’s 28th Annual Race for the Cure, a family-friendly 5K run/walk and one-mile fun walk.

PHILADELPHIA (April 5, 2018) – Sanjeevani Arora, PhD, assistant research professor in the Cancer Prevention and Control program at Fox Chase Cancer Center, has been selected by the U.S. Department of Defense to receive the FY17 Peer Reviewed  Cancer Research Program (PRCRP) Career Development award for her work in colorectal cancer.

PHILADELPHIA (April 3, 2018) — Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce its ongoing support for the 14^th annual Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation’s Sandy Sprint Superhero 5k &10k run/walk. Faculty, staff, volunteers, patients, survivors, and their families will come together at the event as members of the Fox Chase team on Saturday, April 21.

Specialists from Fox Chase Cancer Center and the Temple Head & Neck Institute (THNI) will offer free oral cancer screenings in observance of the 21st annual Oral, Head, and Neck Cancer Awareness Week^® (OHANCAW^®) taking place April 8-15, 2018. The screening is painless and only takes about 10 minutes.

PHILADELPHIA, (March 27, 2018) — Fox Chase Cancer Center will present its signature fundraising event In Vino Vita Benefit and Wine Auction on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Vie in Center City More than 500 leaders from the fields of healthcare, business, and philanthropy attended the 2017 event.

PHILADELPHIA (March 21, 2018) — Eileen K. Jaffe, PhD, has earned a renewal of her research grant from the National PKU Alliance. Jaffe’s lab collaboratively applies molecular biology, biochemistry, and various biophysical techniques to seek ways to repair certain dysfunctional enzymes.  

PHILADELPHIA ( [Anchor] March 20, 2018) – The Journal of Clinical Investigation recently published a scientific article describing ONC201’s ability to cause intratumoral accumulation and activation of natural killer (NK) and CD3+ T cells in mouse models and patients. The research is from the laboratory of Wafik El-Deiry MD, PhD, FACP, Scientific Founder of Oncoceutics, and Deputy Cancer Center Director for Translational Research at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

PHILADELPHIA (March 13, 2018) - Dr. Engstrom will receive the award at the Foundation’s 2018 Dialogue for Action Conference in Tysons, Virginia on April 12, 2018.
