PHILADELPHIA (July 11, 2024) — Three Fox Chase Cancer Center researchers have received a grant totaling nearly $2.4 million from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to study racial and ethnic equity in clinical trials.

PHILADELPHIA (July 2, 2024) — Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to announce the hiring of J. Ryan Mark, MD, FACS, as an Associate Professor in the Department of Urology and the Fox Chase – Temple Urologic Institute.

PHILADELPHIA (June 14, 2024) — Researchers have developed a multicellular model of a pancreatic cancer tumor mass using human cells. The model uses bioprinting, which combines bioinks/biomaterials and two types of cells, to recreate the complex structure that makes pancreatic cancers among the most difficult to treat.

PHILADELPHIA (June 12, 2024) — Fox Chase Cancer Center celebrated a gift of $10.8 million from the Estate of Concetta “Chet” Greenberg, an ardent champion of cancer research during her life. This gift is the culmination of many years of support, bringing Greenberg’s total giving to nearly $20 million for pancreatic cancer research at Fox Chase.

PHILADELPHIA (June 11, 2024) — Lucia Borriello, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Cancer and Cellular Biology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and a member of the Cancer Signaling and Microenvironment Research Program at Fox Chase Cancer Center, was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Metastasis Research Society (MRS).

PHILADELPHIA (June 10, 2024) — Temple University Hospital has received re-accreditation under the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Commission on Cancer (CoC) Accreditation Program. The ACS CoC is a consortium of professional organizations dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for patients with cancer by setting and raising standards.

PHILADELPHIA (June 3, 2024) — Human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2) mutations can be identified in up to 6% of non-small cell lung cancer cases where KRAS, EGFR, or ALK gene mutations are also found, according to the results of research from Temple University Hospital and Fox Chase Cancer Center presented today at the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting.
