PHILADELPHIA (September 11, 2019) – Denise Connolly, PhD, an associate professor in the Molecular Therapeutics Program, has won the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation’s Teal Trailblazer Award. She is currently researching high-grade serous carcinoma to understand why not all ovarian cancer arises in the ovary.

Andrews, PhD, has been awarded a $33,348 grant from the National Cancer Institute for research attempting to determine the fundamental processes by which cancer cells can sense deficiencies in the production of essential metabolic components and adapt to overcome this and survive.

Tetzlaff, MHS, PA-C, a physician assistant at Fox Chase Cancer Center, has received a $15,000 three-year grant from The Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology to explore the role and impact of burnout among physician assistants working in oncology.
