PHILADELPHIA (August 23, 2018) – Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to support the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition’s (NOCC) 20th Annual Philadelphia Run/Walk to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer. Faculty and staff, volunteers, patients, survivors, and their families will come together at this family-friendly 5K run/walk to raise funds to support ovarian cancer research and advocacy on Saturday, September 8.

PHILADELPHIA (August 23, 2018) – As part of its ongoing commitment to community health, Fox Chase Cancer Center is pleased to support Miles for Melanoma 2018 in Philadelphia. Faculty and staff, volunteers, patients, survivors, and their families will come together at this family-friendly 5K run/walk to raise funds to support melanoma research, education, and advocacy through the Melanoma Research Foundation.

PHILADELPHIA (August 22, 2018)— Jeffrey Farma, MD, surgical oncologist at Fox Chase Cancer Center, has been appointed chief of the Division of General Surgery within the Department of Surgery.

PHILADELPHIA (August 21, 2018)— Michael J. Hall, MD, MS, interim chair of Clinical Genetics at Fox Chase Cancer Center, has received an American Cancer Society research grant to improve understanding and communication of genetic risk information among physicians and cancer patients.

Edelman, MD, chair of the department of Hematology/Oncology, has received a Translational Research Partnership Award in collaboration with Creatv Microtech,  from the U.S. Department of Defense to develop a test for early detection of early stage lung cancer.
