Thank you for your inquiry about the international patient services provided by Fox Chase Cancer Center. We welcome people from all over the world for oncology assessments, treatment and clinical trials. In addition, we offer remote second reviews for patients that will not be traveling to our Center.
Please know that after physician approval, we are able to offer any of the following options to our international patients:
Remote Second Opinion
(This remote assessment service is the best option for patients who are unable to travel to Philadelphia)
Our physician(s) will provide you with a comprehensive, individualized remote assessment, based on your medical records, diagnostic images and pathology slides. Our physicians are committed to working quickly and efficiently after having received all available medical information. Once you receive your Remote Second Opinion, we will be able to inform you on the estimated cost of your tentative treatment plan. This service can be provided independently from on-site services.
Please contact us to inquire about the costs related to a physician’s remote second opinion, pathology second opinion, and video conferencing between your local and our FCCC physician.
Assessment and Treatment
(Best option for patients who are able to travel to Philadelphia)
In this case the patient sends all the medical reports, pathology and diagnostic imaging material for review before an appointment will be scheduled.
Clinical Trials
(Best option to access a new treatment that is not yet open to people outside of the study)
To know if you are a good candidate for a specific clinical trial, our physician will remotely review your medical records, diagnostic images and pathology slides. If you are considered to be a good candidate, you will be scheduled to have a few screening visits at our clinic to gauge your clinical trial eligibility. If you are eligible, you will be enrolled in the clinical trial. Being enrolled in a clinical trial will require you to visit our clinic regularly for the duration of the trial.
