PHILADELPHIA (June 21, 2016) — Fox Chase Cancer Center, in partnership with the American Cancer Society and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will host the Regional Summit for Region III on June 29th, in conjunction with the Cancer Moonshot Summit held at Howard University, Washington DC.

PHILADELPHIA (June 15, 2016) — June is National Cancer Survivorship Month. This month, Fox Chase Cancer Center physicians celebrate individuals who have overcome cancer while emphasizing the importance of staying healthy after completing cancer treatment.

PHILADELPHIA (May 25, 2016) — In a study of those patients with advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), those treated with the drug OPDIVO^® (nivolumab) demonstrated improved overall survival over patients treated with the drug Taxotere^® (docetaxel). 

PHILADELPHIA (May 24, 2016) — Researchers from Fox Chase Cancer Center – Temple Health have found that patients’ starting oral anticancer medications (OAM) can face delays in starting treatment due to the complexity of the processes needed to obtain these medications. These findings will be announced at The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2016 Annual Meeting.

PHILADELPHIA (May 23, 2016) —Pembrolizumab, an anti-programmed death cell protein 1 antibody, is successful in treating advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, according to researchers from Fox Chase Cancer Center-Temple Health. This provides a new treatment option with fewer side effects. Presented at ASCO 2016 Annual Meeting.

PHILADELPHIA (May 19, 2016) — Researchers from Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple University have developed a cellular programming approach that creates alloreactive T cells that are able to eliminate leukemic cells without causing graft versus host disease (GvHD).
