HPV, Human Papillomavirus, is the most common sexually transmitted infection. HPV is usually harmless and goes away by itself, but some types can lead to cancer or genital warts. Cervical and Head and Neck cancers are 2 of the 6 cancer types associated with HPV. Although there is no cure for HPV, there are vaccines to help prevent infection.
