If someone has a cold, sore throat, infectious disease or fever, they should not visit any patient room, as cancer patients may be prone to catching an illness.
Visitor Policy
Fox Chase Main Campus
Outpatient Visitors
At our Main Campus, patients can bring two visitors to their outpatient appointments.
Our cafeteria and café are open to visitors as well.
Inpatient Visitors
Patients in the Intensive Care Unit are allowed two visitors between 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Patients in all other units are allowed two visitors between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Family Surgical Waiting Area: Two visitors are allowed.
Fox Chase Outpatient Facilities
At each of our outpatient facilities, patients can bring one visitor to their appointments. During radiation treatments, infusions and outpatient procedures, visitors may sit in our regular waiting areas.
Child Visitation Policies
Children under 12 years old are not permitted in patient care areas, unless there are extenuating circumstances and approved by Manager/Nursing Supervisor.
Children 12 years old and older are permitted to visit with patients on the medical and surgical units. Only one child at a time may be in a patient room and must be accompanied by an adult chaperone at all times.
Children under 18 years old may not visit a patient treated for radiation, Intensive Care Unit, or in rooms of patients in isolation.
Masking Policies
Masks are no longer required for staff, patients, or visitors when entering the hospital or in public areas.
Parking
Fox Chase Cancer Center

All parking on the Fox Chase campus at 333 Cottman Avenue is free. Patients may choose to park in the West Garage or East Garage.
Meals and Snacks
Meals and snacks available in the cafeteria (located in the Center Building), and at the Coffee Cart (located in the Prevention Pavilion) open Monday through Friday. The Terrace Cafe, behind the Outpatient entrance, is open seven days a week.
Karen's Korner Gift Shop
Karen’s Korner gift shop carries gifts, cards, stamps, jewelry and other items. The shop is located on the first floor of the Cancer Prevention Pavilion and is open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, or call 215-214-1617.
Wireless Access
Wireless Internet service is available throughout the Fox Chase Cancer Center campus. There is an open connection for patients and other visitors. No registration or password is required. Follow these three simple steps:
- Select Temple_Health_Guest network from the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
- You will be automatically redirected to accept the Legal Disclaimer.
- Finally, Click Done
You will then be connected to Wi-Fi through the Temple Health guest network.
Cell Phones
Cell phones and communication devices may be used, but it is a violation of policy and federal confidentiality laws to use a cell phone, camera or any other device to take pictures of patients or staff, or to record conversations. Fox Chase is not responsible for lost or missing cell phones or other electronic devices.
Photography, Audio and Video Recording
It is the policy of Fox Chase to comply with state and federal privacy and confidentiality laws; therefore, we do not permit the use of cell phones, cameras or any other electronic device to audio or video record patients, visitors, staff or the facility itself. This includes patient and staff conversations and/or phone calls. This is to protect the privacy of the patients.
Fox Chase is a Smoke-Free Campus
All Fox Chase Cancer Center buildings are smoke-free. Please respect our smoke-free policy.
Security
